The Department of Modern Languages and Cultures at Baylor University seeks to hire two dynamic Lecturers in Spanish beginning August 2026. This appointment is a renewable, full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure-track, teaching-focused position with a 6-year promotion path to Senior Lecturer for successful candidates and a potential promotion path to Teaching Professor for highly successful candidates.
- M.A. or Ph.D. in Spanish is required.Area of specialization is open.
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English is required.
- The ideal candidate will bring energy and innovation to both teaching and extracurricular activities (undergraduate mentoring, activities beyond the classroom) and cultivate vibrant experiences in language and culture education.
- We especially encourage applications from those who have taught Spanish for Specific Purposes, Spanish as a Heritage Language, and study abroad.
