The World Languages and Cultures program (WLC) in the School of Language, Culture, and Society invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE) fixed-term, non-tenure-track Spanish Instructor position for the 2018-2019 academic year. This position may be reviewed for renewal on an annual basis at the discretion of the SLCS Director, but is not convertible to a tenure-track position.

The primary mission of the World Languages and Cultures program is undergraduate education. The program offers BA degrees with majors and minors in Spanish, French, German, and a minor in Asian Language and Culture with a concentration in Chinese or Japanese. Courses are also offered on the main Corvallis campus in American Sign Language and online in ASL, Italian, and Korean. The faculty includes over 30 members with areas of specialization in languages, cultures, and literature.

Minimum/Required Qualifications
MA in Spanish with a concentration in language pedagogy, applied linguistics, or closely related field.

Evidence of successful teaching at the college level.

Fluency in both English and Spanish at the ACTFL Superior or CEFR C1 level or higher.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
