Grace College invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Modern Languages (Spanish), to begin fall 2019. We seek an expert in Spanish who has broad teaching interests in language and culture. We are especially interested in candidates with expertise in one or more of the following additional areas: TESOL; linguistics; language pedagogy; Spanish and/or Latin American literature; intercultural communication; and/or world literatures and cultures. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, curriculum development, department and college service, scholarly activity, and professional development.

This position offers a challenging opportunity to a faculty member who seeks to grow the languages program. The successful candidate will have:
- A PhD in Spanish, Hispanic Languages and Literatures, Romance Languages, or a related field
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English
- Evidence of excellence in teaching
- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to collaborate with colleagues and students
- Evidence of scholarly achievement and potential
- A strong commitment to the mission and values of the institution, including the integration of faith and learning
