The Department of Spanish at Villanova University invites applications for a continuing non-tenure track position with the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor beginning August 2023. The area of specialization is Spanish linguistics or Spanish Studies.

Requisitos
The successful candidate will have an outstanding record of demonstrated excellence in teaching Spanish language at the Introductory and Intermediate levels. The successful applicant is expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing Villanova’s Spanish language program, an eagerness to mentor and work closely with undergraduate students, and a willingness to actively participate in departmental service. Our new colleague will have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational environment. We seek candidates with an active interest in current second language teaching methodologies, such as the task-/inquiry-based approach.
PhD and native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English are required.
