Job overview:
A full - time teaching position in the Language Acquisition Department. Teachers have 5/8 teaching blocks as well as other expectations as per contract. In addition, teachers are expected to lead meaningful 3 semester-long activities in line with the Creativity, Action and Service during our Wider Wednesday Program. HIS is an IB world school, so all curriculum and teaching is aligned accordingly.

Essential
â Highly collaborative student-centered teacher for learning with a proven track record of progressive student engagement practices.
â Contribution to the Wider Wednesday program (see website)
â Member of Secondary Advisory (pastoral care) Program
â Support the Core elements of the MYP and/or DP programme as appropriate (PP, EE, TOK, CAS)
â Police clearance from your previous and home country
â Teaching Certification (preferred in the content area for the position)
â Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (Masters’ degree preferred)
â Relevant experience and knowledge of best practices in the content area
Preferred
â International teaching experience is a plus
â IB PYP, MYP or DP experience as applicable to role
â Experience with IB Accreditation processes
â Experience with curriculum development, delivery and assessment practices.
â Knowledge of current best practices teaching and learning; in particular differentiation and student engagement
â Familiarity with the Danielson Framework for Teaching
â Be aware of current developments in safeguarding, child protection and DEIB
