Descripción 

The Director of Centre for Foreign Language Teaching, with the consent of the Rector of the University of Warsaw, announces a competition for the position of Spanish language lector.

The scope of responsibilities includes:

  • conducting Spanish language classes at different proficiency levels addressed to full-time students
  • participation in examination sessions
  • participation in substantive and organizational activities for Centre of Foreign Language Teaching mandated by superior

Requisitos

Education Level

  • Master Degree or equivalent

Skills/Qualifications

  • Fulfilment of the requirements set out in Article 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571, consolidated text)
  • Completion of a second-cycle Spanish studies
  • Documented, at least 2-year experience in teaching Spanish at a HEI
  • Foreign language teaching qualifications
  • Completion of training courses and workshops developing teaching competences

Languages

  • Spanish - Level: Excellent
  • Polish: Level: Basic

  • Master’s Degree in Spanish studies
  • Certification of foreign language teaching qualifications
  • Confirmation of the previous teaching experience including the form of employment and the working hours
  • Certified references about the candidate such as opinions, class observation reports, excerpts from student evaluation forms issued no later than previous five years
  • Certificates of acquired qualifications and completed training sessions

Selection process
Face-to-face interview in Spanish/Polish focusing on the following issues:

  • Teaching experience, especially in respect of teaching Spanish in a HEI
  • Familiarity with current trends in foreign language teaching/learning
