Competitive salary range of $60,000-$63,000, dependent on the candidate's experience.

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a full-time, Assistant Professor - Educator position in Spanish, in the Language and Culture Studies Department. This position is an in-person non-tenure eligible Assistant Professor - Educator position with a start date of August 15, 2025. The initial term is 3 years and is renewable upon satisfactory performance. The retention and promotion criteria for Educator faculty emphasize teaching excellence, leadership in instructional innovation, and service. Research productivity is not expected or evaluated but is permitted.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare courses and teach an average of 12 contact hours per semester in the Fall and Spring semesters. The primary content area for this position is Spanish.
  • Hold a minimum of four office hours per week.
  • Participate in governance and service to the department, such as, but not limited to, participation in departmental committees and attending UCBA faculty meetings.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities related to pedagogy and/or language teaching, including, but not limited to, attending conferences.

Requisitos 

Prior to effective date of appointment, all of the following:

• Master’s degree in Spanish or closely related field
• Near-native proficiency in Spanish  
• One academic year of college-level teaching experience in Spanish language
