The Assistant/Associate Professor of Spanish is a faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences and will teach introductory and upper-level Spanish language and culture courses. Typically, this will be four sections per semester. The Assistant/Associate Professor of Spanish will participate in Piedmont University’s vibrant travel-study program. Incumbents are expected to maintain scholarly productivity and participate in department, college, and university service. Faculty must have a solid commitment to teaching and the ability to work effectively with others in a collegial environment. In addition, faculty must be dedicated to engaging students in a higher education academic environment.
- Successful candidates will hold a minimum of an M.A. in Spanish or a related field; Ph.D. is preferred.
- Previous experience teaching undergraduate-level Spanish courses is preferred.
- A student-centered pedagogical approach is preferred.
