St. Louis Community College is seeking excellent candidates for foreign language (Spanish) faculty position to start in August of 2022. This position is part of a district-wide discipline housed on the Florissant Valley Campus of St. Louis Community College but will teach courses at campuses across the district.

Faculty are members of the certificated staff, including department chairs, who are assigned for instruction, student services or instructional resources for not less than 50% of their total assignment. Faculty load involves the sum of all activities in which a College teacher is expected to be engaged that are related to professional duties and responsibilities. Faculty are expected to remain current with their instructional fields or disciplines through a planned program of professional development activities and to update and revise their course outlines and materials to reflect changes in content and/or methodology. Master's degree in the subject field, or Master's degree with at least eighteen (18) approved graduate semester hours in the subject field and related fields.

Must be fluent in Spanish.

An additional 18 graduate credit hours in a second language: Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, or Japanese.

Community college teaching experience.
Virtual teaching experience.
Experience with Canvas learning management system.
