$53,523.00 - $66,903.00 annually

The Spanish Instructor position is a .85FTE/34 hour per week position. 

Salary is posted at the minimum to the midpoint of the 2022/2023 salary table. Salary will be prorated based on .85 FTE and will be determined based on experience and review of internal equity.

Under direct supervision of the Associate Dean, the primary responsibility is to provide instruction, administer authentic assessments, and foster an active learning environment that is focused on student foundational competence, success, retention, and completion.

Requisitos 

Education and Experience Requirements
1. Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
2. Master's Degree preferred
3. Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking Spanish 
4. One year of teaching experience
5. Strong background in Math is highly desired
6. Experience teaching English to adult students.
7. Eligibility for Wisconsin Technical College System's 861 (ESL) Certification.
8. Experience or comfort working in a corrections facility.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of programmatic discipline, curriculum development, effective teaching/learning principles, and evaluation.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills - oral, written, active listening, and non-verbal cues.
  • Strong customer service skills which includes working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to effectively integrate technology into instructional delivery and assessment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal (staff, management, personnel) and external contacts (employers, clients, and vendors).
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to work and/or the improvement of processes and/or systems.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and/or with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with computer software applications such as word processing, database, spreadsheet, and presentation programs. Knowledge of and familiarity with video-conferencing and technologies associated with adult-centric teaching and learning, as well as within specific programmatic disciplines, which may include web technologies, operating systems, online program tracking platforms, social media platforms, mobile technology tools, and/or AV/multimedia applications and equipment.
