The UNLV Department of World Languages and Cultures invites applications for a tenure-track position in Translation to begin August 2022. 

The appointee will teach a variety of courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels based on department needs. In addition, candidates will further grow the Graduate Certificate in Spanish Translation.

 

Requisitos 

This position requires a Ph.D. in Translation Studies in Spanish from a regionally accredited college or university or the equivalent. The successful applicant will have a native or near-native command of both Spanish and English. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.

Experience in teaching Spanish for the Professions courses (Spanish for Legal Professions, Spanish for Medicine, and Spanish for Tourism) and/or literary translation, and literature highly desirable.

Evidence of scholarly activity required. Candidates must also show strong commitment to excellence in scholarship, teaching and service.
