Descripción

A rare and exciting opportunity to relocate to the south coast within a stone’s throw of Brighton and the South Downs has arisen here at Shoreham Academy.

We are an outstanding school seeking to appoint a curriculum leader for Spanish to inspire in an already thriving, warm and friendly dynamic team in September 2023. The post would suit either a current curriculum leader or an experienced classroom practitioner looking to take on a leadership role.

Shoreham Academy’s MFL department is successful and progressive, regularly obtaining outstanding outcomes for our students.  Our success can be attributed to the ethos we share, which is based on collaboration and shared responsibility across the team. Each member plays a significant role in the success of our students and we are keen to support all teachers to develop their students as well as themselves to be the ‘best that they can be’.

The MFL department aims to inspire a love of languages and other cultures and ensure that all students make expected levels of progress in order for them to become effective communicators within the world. As a result, our curriculum is designed to enrich and broaden the minds and perspectives of our students, from year 7 all the way up to year 13. Languages is a very popular subject in school, with a high uptake in KS4.

We are looking for an energetic, passionate and committed teacher who can inspire a love of languages and other cultures in their students. If you feel this is something you can offer, we look forward to receiving your application.
