Oxford College of Emory University, located 36 miles east of Atlanta, seeks an excellent scholar-educator for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor in Spanish for the 2024–25 academic year. This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. This position requires candidates to deliver courses (3/3 load) in Spanish at lower, intermediate, and advanced levels (within the context of the candidate’s discipline or specialization).
The candidate will collaborate directly with faculty in Spanish, English, and American Studies and join a diverse community of scholar educators with interdisciplinary interests.
Requisitos
PhD in Spanish/Hispanic Studies/Latinx Studies completed by time of appointment (for VAP) or ABD (for Visiting Instructor), near-native fluency in Spanish, and experience teaching undergraduate courses. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career academic to gain experience in a supportive teaching-focused environment with strong mentoring and professional development resources.
